How well do we keep you informed?

Our patient participation group were keen to find out what we can do to improve our services. This is the area they have chosen to focus on first.

  1. The Website

Do you know that the practice has a website?

Have you (before today) ever visited the site?

If yes, do you use it to order repeat prescriptions?

Do you use it to cancel appointments?

Would you like to be able to make appointments online?

If not, can we ask you why not?

What kind of information might you want to find on the website?

2. The Waiting Room

The Life Channel TV is promoted free of charge by the local primary care trust as another means of providing health information (an alternative to leaflets and posters).

Are you happy to watch the Life Channel while waiting for your appointment?

If the Life Channel is on, do you prefer it silent (sub-titles) or with sound?

In order to protect privacy for patients at the desk we try to provide some background sound. This helps prevent overhearing. Do you prefer

3. Self-help information

We aim to provide a good range of information booklets and leaflets to help you understand common health problems better. Are you interested in:

We know it can be awkward to pick up information if others are watching; where would you find it most comfortable to browse for information?

Thank you for taking the time to answer this survey!
