To patients of the William Fisher Medical Centre,
You will be aware, via the local press, that the Maldon District Council Local Development Plan is proposing some major housing developments in the Dengie within the next 15 years.
Indeed, you will be aware that a major housing development has already commenced (David Wilson Development at Barley Meadows), which it is predicted could generate a demand of up to around 300 further registrations to this surgeries patient list when complete.
There are two further applications for housing developments currently being considered within Southminster. If these developments are approved it is anticipated that together they could add up to another 800 additional patients.
At present NHS England have no firm plans to enhance the William Fisher Medical Centre or provide alternative facilities to accommodate this additional demand for local health services.
