1. Do you know that the Stanley Court Surgery is open to our patients between 8.00am – 6.30pm every working weekday Monday-Friday?For your information: The Stanley Court surgery operates an emergency telephone line only between 8.00am-8.30am for urgent medical conditions that cannot wait until the surgery fully opens at 8.30am. On Wednesday afternoons from 1.00pm – 6.30pm patients with urgent medical conditions that cannot wait until 8.30am on Thursday will be seen by The Family Practice at Burscough Health Centre.

 
 
 

2. Do you know that there is an Out of Hours GP Service when the Stanley Court Surgery is closed for patients with urgent medical conditions that cannot wait until the Stanley Court Surgery re-opens?For your information: The Out of Hours GP service is contactable by ringing the Stanley Court Surgery and a recorded message will provide you with the correct contact telephone numbers. The Out of Hours GP surgery is on call from 6.30pm to 8.00am every weekday and 24 hours a day on Saturdays, Sundays and on Bank Holidays.

 
 
 

3. Do you know that there are Drop-In Centres at Ormskirk Hospital and Skelmersdale Concourse for patients to use if they feel they have a medical condition which cannot wait to see a GP at the Stanley Court Surgery, or for minor injuries that do not require A&E?For your information: The West Lancashire Health Centre at Ormskirk Hospital has a Drop-in Centre is open between 8.00am – 8.00pm seven days a week and The Skelmersdale Walk-In Centre at Skelmersdale Concourse is open between 7.00am-10.00pm Monday-Friday and 9.00am-5.00pm on Saturdays & Sundays. Both services are available for patients of all ages.

 
 
 

4. Do you know that the Accident & Emergency Department at Ormskirk Hospital is for Children ONLY up until the age of 15?For your information: Ormskirk Hospital A&E is open 24 hours a day and should only be used for Children who are 15 years old or younger who have Urgent Medical Conditions which are not appropriate for a GP Surgery, Out of Hours GP Service or Drop In Centre.

Do you know that the Accident & Emergency Department at Southport Hospital is for anyone who is 16 years of age and older?For your information: Southport Hospital A&E is open 24 hours a day and should only be used for Patients who are 16 years of age or older who have Urgent Medical Conditions which are not appropriate for a GP Surgery, Out of Hours GP Service or Drop In Centre.
