St Levan Surgery Patient Participation Group

Patient Survey

We want to hear your views on how we can improve our services at St Levan Surgery. In discussions with our (virtual) Patient Participation Group (vPPG), we have agreed 3 priorities to focus on and would appreciate your comments on these.

Priority 1 - Telephone Access to a GP

Our current system offers everypatient who requests a doctor's appointment or advice, the opportunity to speak to a GP over the phone, usually within an hour. If you need an appointment, the GP then arranges this at a time that suits you best

1. What do you think works well about this system?

2. What do you think could be improved, and why?

Priority 2 – Appointment with a nurse

“Appointments with our Nursing Team are booked via reception”
3. What do you think works well about our nurse appointments?

4. What do you think could be improved, and why?

Priority 3 – reception Services

Our receptionists have many roles. These include booking appointments and telephone call backs, organising repeat prescriptions, informing patients of results and dealing with all other general enquiries.
5. What do you think works well about our reception services?

6. What do you think could be improved, and why?

Finally

Some patients have told us that they find it easy to get an appointment with a GP within 48 hours, but find it difficult to book a doctor’s appointment further ahead. Our doctors are happy to book appointments in advance.
7. Have you found this to be a problem?
