EXTENDED ACCESS SURVEY 2017

At the moment the surgery is open from 8.00 am to 6.30 pm with extended hours on a Thursday evening from 6.30 to 7.30 pm. Extended hours telephone calls are also made from 6.30 to 7.30 on other days of the week. Have you ever had difficulty attending one or more consultations within the timings outlined above?

If YES what is the reason?

How often do you envisage that you will be unable to attend an extended hours surgery between 6.30 and 7.30 pm and need one between 7.30 – 8.00 pm instead?

Have you had difficulty booking a routine extended hours appointment between 6.30 – 7.30 pm in a timeframe you would consider reasonable?

How satisfied are you with the current system of offering extended hours face-to-face and telephone consultations?

If you are not satisfied, how might we better meet your needs?

How satisfied are you with the current weekend access to healthcare via the Corby walk-in centre and 111 out of hours at Prospect House Kettering?

Bearing in mind that small practices would be unable to offer appointments 7 days a week on their current manning and funding, would you be prepared to travel to a centralised location such as Nene Park to access these services?

If routine appointments were offered during the weekend would you prefer these to be remote (for example on-line video consultations with remote electronic prescribing) rather than face-to-face?

What appointments would you wish to book during weekday extended hours?

Would you book appointments if offered on a Saturday?

If YES during what hours would you prefer to be seen?

What appointments would you wish to book during Saturday extended hours?

Would you book appointments if offered on a Sunday?
