Proposed changes to patient extended access times

Currently we provide one late night surgery with 1 GP and 1 nurse on a Monday evening from 18.30pm -19.15pm and 1 GP clinic on a Saturday morning at the Boots branch from 09.00am – 12.00 noon. The Saturday morning surgery has proven to be unpopular with at least 1 third of our appointments being wasted when patients fail to attend their booked appointment. We would therefore like to increase the availability of ALL of our health care team by offering out of hour’s appointments with the GP’s, Nurses and HCA at a more convenient time. The proposed changes will be an additional early morning surgery with the GP, Nurse and the Health Care Assistants’ on a Monday morning from 7.15am to 8.00am instead of the Saturday morning. And we will continue to offer 1 late night session with a GP and nurse on a Tuesday evening from 18.30pm- 19.15pm This is a result of patient feedback and will ensure that patients who work will have access to ALL of our health care team outside of most normal working hours Do you agree that this is a positive change for the surgery to make?
