Clearly, this service is not for routine GP or nurse appointments. A patient who telephones the surgery requesting an appointment with the GP on the same day will be placed on the GP’s triage list. The GP will call the patient back as soon as possible to discuss and assess the problem and book a same day appointment for the patient should it be required.
