At the meeting of the James Cochrane Practice Patient Participation Group; the following questions and issues were raised.

We appreciate your time to take a few minutes to answer these questions, which will help us to determine if changes are required to improve our services.

Communicating to patients.

1. Methods of distributing information to patients. What method would you prefer to receive information about services and issues relating to the James Cochrane Practice?

 
 
 
 
 

2. Appointments reminders.What method would you prefer to receive confirmation and reminders relating to appointments that you have booked at the James Cochrane Practice?

 
 
 
 

3. Communicating results of blood tests. The Practice will always contact a patient when a blood test result is deemed abnormal for them. What method would you prefer to receive regarding information about 'normal - no action' results?

 
 
 
 

4. Communicating information regarding staff members and their roles. Whilst applicable to all staff, specifically would you like to have access to more detailed information regarding clinical members of staff and their roles (specialities) at the James Cochrane Practice?

 
 
 

5. Communicating information regarding referral processes at the James Cochrane Practice. Would you like to have access to more detailed information regarding referrals and the Choose and Book System?

 
 
 

Premises Issues

7. Availability of Car Parking spaces at Helme Chase has at times caused problems. Since January 2013, Staff are now parking off-site and clearer signage has been installed. Has car parking improved?

 
 
 
 
 

8. Our waiting rooms chairs at Helme Chase were replaced recently for higher chairs with arm rests, in response to issues raised by many patients that the previous chairs were too low. Are the new chairs more comfortable?
